ReSpace/MAPLD 2011 Conference

The 2011 ReSpace and MAPLD conference will be held August 22-25 in Albuquerque NM. ReSpace is an annual conference organized by COSMIAC and its affiliates. The joint conference explores recent advances in reconfigurable electronics and microsystems from two perspectives: ReSpace explores the most effective manner in which these electronics revolutionize increasingly capable, compact and low cost spacecraft, while MAPLD explores how to ensure that these reconfigurable electronics survive and perform properly in the extreme conditions of space.

ReSpace/MAPLD 2011 will be held 22-25 August 2011 at the Marriott Uptown in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Building on last year's success, we again seek high quality technical submissions in the following areas:

  • Novel implementation of commercial and commercially-derived electronics in space such as FPGAs, tiled processors, microcontrollers and other key devices.
  • Strategies for mitigating radiation effects in electronics.
  • Characterization and testing of components.
  • On-orbit performance results.
  • Practical approaches to modularity in design and fabrication.
  • Bold operational and engineering concepts to reduce the requirement for radiation hardness through alternative methods to achieve reliability.

Cost of registration for the conference is $495 (early registration) till Monday July 11, 2011 and $595 thereafter.
