Sponsorship at the Configurable
Space Microsystems Innovations and Applications
Center (COSMIAC) allows sponsors to access the
Center's specialized talent, skills, capabilities,
and innovations. Sponsorship powers the Center's
collaborations, which in turn target key educational,
staffing, and technological needs of the high
reliability reconfigurable microsystems community.
Center sponsors benefit through the ongoing
cultivation of specialized talent through hands-on
research, development, and demonstration of
new design methodologies, tools, and systems.
Sponsorship provides system developers at the
Center's commercial, military, and civil aerospace
member organizations with the ability to reduce
the lead time, cost, and risk of developing
new reconfigurable microsystems.
COSMIAC provides various sponsorship
packages to support the needs of its member
organizations:

| Consortium Sponsorship
(CS) |
$50,000/yr

Corporate membership which provides
basic privileges, including access to
available training materials (including
online CubeFlow materials), access to
available published research materials
and intellectual property (IP), inclusion
of the sponsor's logo on COSMIAC's website,
print, and exhibit materials, attendance
for two individuals to CubeFlow training
courses, and one CubeFlow Bench Kit.
Note: A 10% discount is available
to organizations that purchase multi-year
sponsorships or that renew their sponsorship
prior its expiration.

| Consortium Research
Sponsorship (CRS) |
$75,000/yr

All the benefits of the Consortium
Sponsorship (CS) plus attendance for
up to three (3) additional individuals
to CubeFlow training courses (up to
five (5) total), two CubeFlow Bench
Kits, and three (3) CubeFlow Flight
Emulation Kits.
Note: A 10% discount is available
to organizations that purchase multi-year
sponsorships or that renew their sponsorship
prior its expiration.

| Consortium Research-In-Residence
Sponsorship (CRRS) |
$175,000/yr

All the benefits of the Consortium Research
Sponsorship (CRS), plus office space for
one (1) sponsor employee at the Center,
and one (1) named Graduate Fellow to assist
in a research topic of mutual interest
to the sponsor and the Center. COSMIAC
will organize a one-day visit each month
for Researchers-in-Residence to meet with
key personnel at various nearby aerospace
organizations involved in reconfigurable
microsystems development and production.
Note: A three (3) year commitment
is required for this level of sponsor
to ensure continuity of fellow research.
The total cost is $525,000 for three
years.

| Graduate Fellow
Sponsorship (GFS) |
$37,500/yr
|
Graduate Fellow Sponsorship provides an
opportunity for a sponsoring organization
to work closely with a designated academic
advisor, who will serve as principal investigator
(PI), and a graduate student in a specific
focus area to become more familiar with,
and to participate more fully in, research
being conducted at the Center. The Graduate
Fellow Sponsorship program ensures effective
direct communication between the sponsor
and the Center, and is designed to enhance
the transfer of useful skills and knowledge
to the sponsor organization. The sponsoring
organization is associated with the fellow
in Center publications and presentations.
The sponsoring organization is encouraged
to offer intern employment to the graduate
student Fellow during summer intercessions.
Graduate Fellow Sponsorship is available
only to Consortium Sponsors (CS, CRS,
or CRRS level). |
